Santo Dolores-Picado Guido lives in the remote farming village of Cangrejo, Nicaragua.

She is the mother of four children. Her husband Juan works in the fields planting corn and frijoles. They are honest hardworking campasino farmers scratching and scraping by to feed and clothe their children. All four little ones attend Escuela Mundo De Los Ninos.

Last week when Marcela, Kelly and I were visiting the school and delivering several new sewing machines, Santo Dolores meekly asked to speak with us outside on a personal matter. She has an ovarian tumor that needs to be operated on very soon.

Santo-Delores and her family do not have enough money to pay for the operation.  An appointment is scheduled for June 23rd 2009 at a gynecologist clinic in Rivas. The clinic quoted $500 for the operation and post operative care.
