Dawson Creek Sunrise Rotary

The Object of Rotary is to encourage and foster the ideal of service as a basis of worthy enterprise. With this in mind, The Dawson Creek Rotary Sunrise Club has partnered with Eric Blackburn and The World Kids Foundation to start construction on a sewing center in Collado, Nicaragua.

Tim and I promised each other that when our eldest daughter, Maya turned eight, we would sail out the Golden Gate Bridge, turn left and start a big adventure. Well the time has come to live our promised dream.

Rotary club members are volunteers who work locally, regionally, and internationally to combat hunger, improve health and sanitation, provide education and job training, promote peace, and eradicate polio under the motto Service Above Self.

 Interact Club: Dawson Creek BC

Interact is Rotary International's service club for young people ages 14-18. Interact clubs are sponsored by individual Rotary clubs, in this case the Rotary Club of Dawson Creek and the Dawson Creek Rotary Sunrise, which provide support and guidance, but Interact clubs are self-governing and self-supporting.

 Empowerment International

Empowerment International’s approach addresses the root cause and the plight of many street children who cannot attend school even where public education is free.

EI reverses this trend by working with the children and their families to enable them to attend school. We provide financial and emotional support.
